Estimates
Due to the varying nature of some repairs and the materials involved, it can be challenging to establish fixed prices for many services. Therefore, our pricing typically consists of hourly rates, shop time charges, and the cost of materials. However, certain services, such as gasket replacements and leak checks on dry suits, have standardized pricing ranges. For the most accurate and up-to-date rates, please contact PSR directly. All work will be quoted before proceeding, and in many cases, quotes can be provided based on high-quality pictures sent electronically, allowing us to assess the scope of the repair efficiently.
Shipping
Shipping charges and insurance, if applicable, are the responsibility of the owner. Please ensure that your gear is shipped dry. Canada Post is generally the most reliable and cost-effective shipping option. Due to their length, kayak paddles can be expensive to ship, unless they are breakdown paddles, which are easier to transport. When sending your gear, please include your name, address, contact information, and a clear description of the work that needs to be done.
Storage
PSR is not a storage facility, nor do we wish to become one. To encourage customers to pick up their completed repairs promptly, we have had to implement high storage fees, as outlined on your invoice. Unfortunately, our shop has reached full capacity with completed work that cannot be stored outside, which has forced us to turn away additional repairs. This situation is unfair to both PSR and our other customers. We kindly ask that you pick up your gear or boats promptly to avoid further inconvenience.
